WebJun 6, 2024 · I have a Milt Sparks VM2, and it's the same as TT Gunleather's reinforced Mike's Special. The Slim Xc is an improvement on the design with most of the leather molding on the outside for comfort. It's my favorite holster, although if I already had a VM2 it is not so much better that I'd toss the VM2 and buy a Slim Xc. WebApr 18, 2024 · Professional. Jan 25, 2024. #16. When I’m carrying OWB, 90% of the time it’s in a leather holster. Sometimes it calls for a kydex holster but I much prefer leather. Carrying IWB I, myself prefer kydex or at least a kydex shell. Crossbreed has been a favorite of mine, but I have used them for a long time. Leather backing with kydex shell.

Choices are a good thing, by the way. I am happy with both and wouldn’t switch either one; I like the VM II for the G19 and I like the Slim XC for the G29.
