WebMar 14, 2024 · Hello, I'm soon to be moving in to my first home. The current owners have recently redid the kitchen and installed an island with an induction hob. I much prefer gas. I don't suspect that there will be gas supply to the island. So I have a couple of questions, if one or all could be answered, I'd appreciate any input. I think I paid about $250 for my electrician to run a new circuit for induction. You're getting ripped off unless there is some major difficulty in running the new wiring. If your hob is cut into worktop then make sure the dimensions of your new gas hob are at least the same size as your electric hob or bigger.
